Code of Conduct In addition to the Group Expectations Policy, we have a Code of Conduct in the Scout Section that all members follow. It was developed by the Scouts themselves, and helps ensure our meetings are enjoyed by everyone. Listen to others as they speak Always wear your uniform neatly and tidily Be polite and respectful to everyone Be fair and honest If a Leader raises their hand, be quiet and listen Be safe Be kind and considerate Be silent in the Troop circle Always work as a team Be responsible for your own actions Attend all Scout meetings If we have a Scout whose behaviour falls below the level of the Expectations Policy and Code of Conduct (which is rare), we use the following escalating scale of consequences: warning – a verbal warning is given during the meeting time out – the Scout stops the activity and sits quietly at the side of the hall for up to 10 minutes parents – a Leader will meet with the Scout’s parents, and may recommend that the Scout misses one or more meetings
